Making yourself heard means to be able to effectively translate what you have on mind to the person/people you are speaking to and being able to speak well and enunciate properly is a key to doing so.
I'm glad I have been exposed to 2 of the key global languages since young though I really disliked mandarin. =x It made communication with foreigners and learning new languages so much easier.
I hope to be able to master more languages and make more friends across the globe.. ^^
